Tell us about yourself… Who are you?
Hi! I am Brit Hermans, Dutch girl living in Barcelona. I moved four years ago with my partner for his work. Soon I found CeleBreak, a company with a mobile application for friendly football games. Currently I am their City Manager.
Describe yourself with 3 words
Open – Sporty – Social.
What do you do?
CeleBreak organises games throughout the city in which everyone is welcome to join. I am responsible for the marketing, business development, scheduling matches and managing our football organisers.
What do you aspire to do?
Many things.. Mainly, I want to improve the quality of our sessions so everyone has the best possible football experience in Barcelona. Another thing I am trying to do is to grow the quantity of our games. We are currently having 11 games a day and I believe this could be 20 games per day in the near future. And more important of all, I want to keep playing a lot of football!
What have your biggest struggles been as an entrepreneur?
The biggest struggle is the Spanish language, as I have many Spanish speaking partners and relations. And also, the Spanish culture, because it’s very different to the dutch one, in terms of planning and punctuality.
How do you feel about the Planet Venus community?
I’m happy to be part of a community of women because I feel accompanied. I can share and talk with other women that are trying to push their careers and their lives forward. Also, what I love of Planet Venus is all the input, information and possible partnerships I can get from the app. I hope my experience helps other members too!
